Keep your eye out for this talented Caribbean cook, Asayo Foods who serves flavourful and well-sized portions with some of the most delicious doughy golden Jamaican Dumplings. This slow-cooked menu is straight on with its Jerk Chicken, braised Goat Curry, crispy Fried Chicken, and Sweet Dumplings will also be making an exclusive appearance to this year festival.
Jamaican fried dumplings, also known as Johnny Cakes, is the perfect side dish to many Jamaican dishes. We’re sure every Jamaican household has their own version of cooking these but for us, a perfect fried dumpling should be crispy and flaky on the outside and soft and doughy on the inside and fried to a perfect golden brown. If done right, you won’t be able to eat just one of these as they are so good.

The International Dumpling Festival, a tasty street food festival serving dumplings in multiple ethnic variations. Opened all day-to-night from 12pm to 8pm on October 12th at Quantum in Digbeth.
