Believe it or not, Taste and Liquor’s Great British BBQ, Gin and Meat Festival are still finding new ways to jazz up gin. And for this year’s independent festival they have teamed up with JQ’s Award Winning Cocktail Bar The Vangaurd to bring on the tonic!
The Vangaurd: Cocktail ambassadors of the experimental liquor industry have seriously pulled out all the stops for this Saturday (29 June) festival, from gin slushys’ to salted lemon tonic, there’s some weird and wonderful ways to drink a G&T this weekend.
We’re so excited The Vangaurd will be the official bar for The Great British BBQ, Gin and Meat Festival this year! This is the perfect platform for them to show how versatile their independent Cocktail Bar is and promises to offers a wealth of unique flavours, which can be paired with different mix alike.
If you need some inspiration, here are four drinks we’ll be grabbing at Quantum in Digbeth.
Rosé Gin Slushy
Not much can make a glass of chilled Gin better. Actually, yes…Wine, gin and slushy ice can. This cocktail will have you chilling like a gin-llain. With Rose combined with floral flavors makes a drink worth sharing!
Edinburgh Raspberry – Salted Lemon Tonic
This takes the classic gin and tonic to a whole new level. If you’re not a gin fan or unsure, the gin cleverly hides beneath the berry and lemon flavors.
Yuzu Spritz
Must try Japanesse Cockail. Yuzu-infused sake is mixed with Barber’s Gin and Bubbles.
G&T Roku and Cucumber Tonic
While there’s nothing wrong with a classic G&T, why not try this flavorful variation made with cucumber tonic? A sure classic with a tonic twist.
