Midlands’s hottest Jamaican street-food Jamrock serves a riotous feast of authentic BBQ plates for the third annual BBQ, Gin and Meat Festival. So get ready to for one hell of a food-party at one of Digbeth’s best independent street-food festivals!
Using her grandmother’s recipes, Jamrock’s dishes will transport you to the Caribbean beaches where tropical fruits, chili and spices are never far away, and to celebrate at Taste and Liquor’s BBQ, Gin and Meat Festival this Saturday (29 June) they will be serving up new dishes like their Jerk BBQ Chicken – which has been given the Momma Dor Jerk treatment – served with corn and carrot slaw and a rum and raisin Jerk sauce.
Dive into beautifully BBQ, jerk (chicken) plates grilled straight from a traditional Jerk Drum, triple dipped in a secret sauce, and served with coconut rice and peas, coleslaw and a killer gravy. Or wrap it all up in a Jerk Burrito, and of course, you must try their Jerk Chicken Wings with hot Jamaican pickles.
Expect a banging soundtrack of 90s classics, retro arcade games and plenty of Gin-a-ling and tings to keep you well oiled this weekend.
Taste and Liquor’s Great British BBQ, Gin and Meat Festival. It’s guaranteed to be the most delicious block party you’ve ever been to.
