The Plough Harborne is a chic gastro pub, which serves great pizza and meat roasts in an artful setting, specialising in seasonal street-food takeovers and only use the best products and ingredients, we’re delighted they will be joining Taste and Liquor Birmingham Burger Month as their Burgers are proper banging!
Set on a busy road on the corner of Harborne High Street, this multi award-winning pub is a splendid spot to sit outside with a glass of excellent wineand top-notch Burger. Whether they’re stacked high with toppings or stuffed with flavor, The Plough Harborne cook up the best burgers in B17 that’ll leave you fully satisfied.
You might want to wear your big pants this month as this local-food supremos pride themselves on ageing and butchering the best British meat and their burgers are officially cooked medium and despite the temptation to double up, a single patty is more than sufficient in its sturdy brioche bun with essential additions.
We couldn’t fault the gloriously Plough Burger with Fried Onion, Plough Burger Sauce and Mustard Pickle. The Smoked Bacon Burger is generously stacked high with Smoked Streaky Bacon, Caramelized Red Onion and Bourbon BBQ Sauce, Melted Cheddar Cheese, Handmade Slaw and Dill Pickles add to the flavour invasion, all served with a gigantic steak knife and fries.
The menu also offers other fantastic burgers if your appetite is big enough. Everything about Buffalo Chicken Burger is addictive. The price point, the crunch, the sauce-to-blue-cheese ratio. It’s all good. And The Split Pea and Roast Veg Burger comes with Avocado and Swiss Cheese and a Special in-house Sauce.
There’s an equal attention to detail when it comes to the drinks, as there’s a wide selection of excellent beers from brewers such as Five Points, Siren and Fourpure.
