Explore Indian Flavors This Saturday at Indian Street Feast

Indian Street Feast is a veritable foodie wonderland, whatever dish you’re craving, you can satisfy it with authentic aplomb at this Saturday (30 Nov) at Taste and Liquors’ diverse dining events.

Indian street food is one of the major cravings here in Birmingham. Thankfully at Taste and Liquor Indian Street Feast, you will find many vendors where you can satisfy the temptation for Indian food.

Flavours straight from India will be cooked in front of you from midday at Quantum in Digbeth. With carefully selected menus, with an aim to present a diverse day of fantastic taste, Taste and Liquors’ next vendor Full of Chat takes its pride to serve modern North-to-South Indian dishes.

Their must-have dishes are their Vegan Tapas Plate of Indian goodness, think Channa Dhal, Corn Chaat, Rice and an Aubergine Pakora-Fritter but let us not stop there, as the list goes on.

Ah, Taste and Liquor guests we love this trader, and their signature dish Sticky Bombay Chicken is the one. The meat is full of flavour. While the sticky sauce is a star, you should get your hands on the Masala Fries and fresh Slaw, good news, it comes included.

We love Indian food beyond regular popular choices such as butter chicken and vegetarian bhunna and we think we have found some rare gems at Taste and Liquor Indian Street Feast, our next favourite being the Chilli Haddock Fish Chowder – served with Rice, Pickles Chillies and a Deep-Fried Naan, this modern South Indian dish is gently simmered and cooked in with different spices to give a new life to your culinary senses. The fish literally melts in your mouth. Delicious!

Moving on, now imagine this, and tell us you’re not desperate to try it right now. The Full Chaat Whopper. Get stuck into a deep-fried Indian Cheese (Paneer), all covered up with herbs, spices and then topped with Sticky Bombay Chicken in a Naan Bun and served up with fresh Coriander and Mint Yoghurt. Go get one for lunch or early din-dins.

Full of Chat will also be serving up this exclusive treat. Among the many dishes available is their Mumbai Toastie filled with gooey cheese and spices.

Because few things are better than salty, squeaky, perfectly grilled Halloumi Cheese. This food truck serves up the aforementioned Halloumi Chaat Bites, which we can not wait to try. If you love salt, spice, sour and sweet favours then this dish if for you.

Or grab some Masala Fries for less than pocket change, or one of the all-time kings of Indian street food, Samosas are hard to beat, especially when these deep-fried, flavoursome little treats. Crispy, crunchy, but soft and reserving a taste explosion on the inside, embrace the greasy fingers you’ll be left with afterwards, chuck the cashier a fiver, through the window and walk off with a bag of these beauties. Plus there will also be the option to add a serving of any of their curry’s to your samosa.
