About 10 years ago, in a piece about late-night eating, the London Evening Standard advised its readers: “Never, ever eat a kebab when sober.” How times have changed.
The dirty kebab is a post-pub British tradition, it is a tradition Taste and Liquor wants to keep alive and with the annual return of Kebabingham – Birmingham’s first and only festival dedicated to the humble kebab – With vegetarian Jeremy Corbyn presenting an award at British Kebab Awards (2016) kebabs are defiantly here to stay! Celebrate this guilty-pleasure by joining us at Kebabingham, an organised event operated for the promotion of the social welfare of the Kebab.
Kebabingham is an independent event that challenges injustice, defends freedom and campaigns to make sure every Kebab is tasted without the guit -or shame. Kebabs have and always will be brilliant and this gathering is the perfect way to celebrate their meaty (and veg-base), almighty brilliance. Get involved in supporting the kebab movement and show your support to give the humble kebab the respect it deserves!
If you want to get involved, doner delay – it would be a real pitta if you missed out.
Kebabingham, now in its second year. Birmingham’s first Kebab Festival at Mutt Motorcyles, Saturday 2nd March, 12.00pm – 8.00pm.
